Gene Sequencing

Genome sequencing brings major advancements to the science world. There are both positive and negative outcomes of genome sequencing. Gene sequencing can allow for the discovery of specific diseases early in one's life. This allows people to take the necessary precautions and possible early treatments to either control or cure their disease. Besides disease discovery it also allows people to now if they will have a disease later on in life and what can be changed or altered to possibly cure their disease. The negatives of genome sequencing greatly stem from superficial views. Many are scared that if our genomes are sequenced and parents are given the opportunity to change how their unborn child looks that our world will turn to one that is not diverse. This is a negative effect on genome sequencing however i think there will be government control before it becomes to extreme. The positives of genome sequencing greatly outweighs the negative effects that come with it.
