USB

USB: We have been using USB devices for so many years. Last year, Type-C is introduced. The original USB connection has so many problems. First, the speed is not very fast. USB1.0 was introduced in 1996. The transfer rate was only 1.5Mb/s. USB2.0 was release in 2000. The rate was 480Mb/s. The USB3.0 was published in 2008. The rate was 5Gb/s. Although the transfer rate increased, the user experience didn’t increase a lot since the files are getting larger and larger. We always expect faster transfer rate. USB Type-C has 24 pins, which give it more potential to achieve a higher speed. Type-C also solves another problem that the other types of USB have. When we use normal USB devices, it is so confusing which direction we should plug in. They all look the same. However, only one direction works. Type-C can be plugged in using both directions. Therefore, we don’t need to worry about the problem anymore.
