Virtual reality has taken over not only the world of video games but it soon will take over our social life. Facebook is hoping to use the HTC vive for various things. Yes, virtual reality is an amazing and ever-changing concept however I think it may have some negative effects on our society. We as is hide behind computer screens and don't really interact with others as much as we used to. Everything is digital now rarely do you hear of someone making a phone call or sending a letter. Our family time is now spent on Skype instead of in the same room. I believe that virtual reality is only going to increase the time spent alone. It is going to lead to a connected society but yet a distant one. We are going to be close with those far from us but far from those who are close to us.
