Constitution Gardens
is a park area in Washington, D.C., in the United States. The park is bounded
on the west by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the north by Constitution Avenue.
In the garden, there is a small pond, which contains an island open to the
public and people can stroll along the pond and the small island.
President Richard Nixon established
the park in 1976. In July 1972, the Memorial to the 56 Signers of the
Declaration of Independence was dedicated in the park. On November of the same
year, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall was also dedicated.
When you take a stroll along the
pond in Constitution Gardens, you will see Washington monument, 56 signers of
the Declaration of Independence and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Hall. You can
also see a statue of Abraham Lincoln which is situated in the Lincoln Memorial.
