So we talked about how
people can get attached with the machine sometimes. Maybe to some super
intelligence machine that totally look and human and even have human thoughts.
I think it pretty creepy for a human to be emotionally attached to some machine
or robot. I understand how people sometimes emotionally rely on their machine
because it may remind them of something. Not because they are in love with
their machine. I recently watched a video on YouTube about a real comment a person
posted on social media. His father passed away when he was 6 and they used to
play this game a lot. His father is not beside him anymore but he is always the
ghost racer who keeps the record in the game. He never wants to get faster
because he doesn’t want to erase the record. So he can still feel his father
around him, somehow.
Remember how we usually
talk about can people get emotionally attached with machine, like what happened
in the movie Her. I don’t believe
that can happen in real like and honestly I think it’s pathetic that people are
not able to communicate with other human and they find they are only
comfortable talking to their machine. In the case in this video, I understand
how this can happen. Because the other racer used to be his father and they
have those memories in this game. So he maybe can find some comfort playing
this game. But I still think it’s weird that people get emotionally attached
with a random machine.
