Social Media has just about taken over every aspect of our lives. Yes, there are a great deal of negative effects but social media also has some great uses. When the attacks on Paris took place Facebook quickly set up a mechanism in which people could mark that they were safe so those far away from them knew they were okay. Aside from the Paris attacks Facebook has been a huge contributor in Natural Disaster relief. Social Media is a great source for relief during natural disasters and world tragedy. This goes to show that regardless of the negative effects social media has on our society the positive effects greatly outweigh them.
