Social Media and the Elections

Social media has been ignited with defacing slander regarding Donald Trumps, Presidential candidacy. Social media has become an extreme part of the 2016 elections from the beginning. I think it plays a huge role especially amongst the younger, technologically savvy. In a day in age when information is instantaneous on the internet or in the palm of your hand on a smartphone it is inevitable that the community will  be influenced by it. On average when i scroll through my news feed i see 10 videos regarding the election. It will be interesting to see how the elections play out and possibly see a research done on how social media effected the elections.
