It does exactly what it says in the name. This type of technology allows for much more creative leeway for tech designers. It allows them to use new ways in which the consumer could interact with their device such as twisting or bending your device. Nokia used this technology a couple years ago to design a phone that when you bend it forward it zoomed in on the photo but were unable to actually make it due to unfeasibility. With the debut of the LG Rollable OLED in CES we know that it is now possible and will be ready for mass use in less than 5 years.
