Why technology is ruining education

Technology is at our every turn and extremely present in education as well. Yes, the technological advancements have had some major benefits for education but there is also a downside to it. Student's are undeniably dependent on their electronics and i think in a way it has ruined how we learn. We no longer take notes in class because we have power points so we just stare at those hoping to soak it all up when in reality we need to write it down. It is proven that our brains store information after reading it and writing it down better than just reading it and moving on. I also think that having the ability to just have information at our fingertips makes it less meaningful and therefore we don't feel the need to spend time learning new information.
