I was looking online for an online music generator when I found Juke-Bot. I watch their video. The concept of Juke-Bot intrigues me but I have not the chance to test their program. Juke-Bot takes a video file analyzes it and creates a music file that it thinks would fit the video. From the video I saw on their page it works well. Again, I haven't tested the program myself yet. The way they created the music is that a frame by frame analysis of a video file is used to find major themes and using those major themes music will be made fitting that theme. I was surprised that many music generators are still in the process of development.
The idea of randomly generating music that is not completely broken is something I have thought about before. My idea was to use music theory to generate music and maybe use an algorithm to clean up a little bit. Now though with the new AIs I wonder if through the use human and AI can an AI be created to generate music. The music generated by the AI could be judged by a human or a group of human. Taking out all the music that are horrible can they then slowly create an AI that was made to generate music that is pleasing to hear. Well AIs themselves are still development but this idea would be interesting.
For now Juke-Bot is the most interesting program I have seen so far. It would definitely be useful to people who are bad at making music like me. There is a free trial so you can just go over and try out the program for now. I am really looking forward to a music generator so that I can listen to new tunes and people can have fun finding tunes they like, saving it and sharing it with one another.
