India's poverty

After visiting India last week, my mentality towards the United States has definitely changed. For the most part, i dont take the U.S for granted anymore. The poverty levels in India are ridiculous. Granted in the city i live, NYC, homeless people sleeping on the streets is definitely an issue. But in India, its more like flocks of homeless people living on the streets. Also, the pollution in India is ridiculous. NYC is of course polluted as well, but not nearly like India.
One thing about India i liked a lot more was the structure of their education system. For each class, they just have one test, which determines whether you pass or fail. There is no homework. Also, electives are optional. I’ve never been a fan of the way colleges in the united states basically force unnecessary classes down your throat that have nothing to do with your major.

Aside from the educational system, the over all lifestyle in India really made me appreciate being blessed to live in the United States.
