Generally when people think about film it’s
considered to be the most definitive breakthrough medium of the postmodern era,
however the waters run deeper. Film embedded itself in the modernist ear
towards the turn of the century from 19th to the 20th
however its ides with censorship kept it from being a mode of expression in the
US, up until the late 60’s when film code laws eroded away following the 1952
Miracle decision court case that gave film the ability to exercise the 1st
and 14th amendment.
