Air Conditioning

For a good chunk of my life I lived on the tropical island of Taiwan. And as all tropical islands are, the weather in Taiwan is hot and humid. The sunshine is great but it can also be a thorn to your side especially at night when you're trying to sleep. So during my years in Taiwan, the A.C was near and dear to my heart because it offered comfort and peace to me in the midst of the extreme warm weather in Taiwan. Since the invention of the window A.C back in the 1950's life for the middle to upper class has become far more comfortable. This is one positive aspect of technology, it offers comfort to people. Air conditioners are just one example of the comfort technology brings to the world.
