The media plays a large role in the society we live in whether it be how to act or what to wear. It only seems logical that VR is making big strides within media as well. In the media VR has several uses ranging from film and music to books and art. VR can be used to basically place yourself in a particular film. Some films that have been used in trial are The Matrix and The Thirteenth Floor. It gives you the feel that you are trapped in a machine or whatever the setting is. VR is also being used in music to allow composers to come up with different musical pieces using the instruments virtually. Artists are also using VR to create different works of art and experiment with different techniques or looks.
