Personally, I am all for continuous innovative thinking in order to design systems which will enhance to lives of human beings. The beauty of human beings, is that we never have to settle. Unlike other animals whose lifestyles are set in stone, human beings have the ability to be innovative. However, with all that being said, the question raises to when will our innovative products be the end of our own capabilities. I am specifically referring to robots.
It would be amazing if robots indeed became a big part of our lives. Even technology such as self driving cars would be amazing. The issue however is, how will the economy suffer once robots take over the jobs of human tasks in the workforce. President Obama recently addressed this issue in his final State of the Union. Humans indeed do fear the way factories are being taken over by machines. This of course saves companies the wages they would have to pay for humans. But then, how would humans pay for their everyday needs?
I think the solution is, laws should be placed in where a balance must be implemented. This way human’s wont lose their jobs, but companies will still be able to produce products more efficiently.
