It was just 200 years ago when if you wanted to hear music, you had to go to a hall and listen to musicians perform. With all the technological advancements we've had, we now have music at our fingertips. Of course concerts are still put on, but the enjoyment of listening to music at any time and any place is now possible in so many different ways. We have apps like spotify, pandora, and soundcloud among many others. This is good, however can also be bad for many artists. Before music was freely available, people had to buy cd's to listen to the newest songs, and with the availability of music without buying cd's, artists do not make as much on those sale, but make up for it with concert sales and these apps. Having music available to everyone in any place at any time is one of the biggest advancements our time has brought.
