Cancer Operation Streamed in VR

Recently in the Royal London Hospital, a colon cancer operation was filmed, which isn't necessarily rare in itself, but what makes the event unique, is that it was the first time a medical operation has been filmed in Virtual Reality.

The surgeons had set up two setups for 360 filming within the operating room, which was then streamed live to medicalrealities.com. The process is a huge step forward in the process of teaching a new generation of surgeons. Now training doctors can see the process up close and personal and understand all the nuances of what is going on in the operating room.

It's just another way that the new accessibility of VR is improving yet another field.
