Airport security is one of those tedious things that most people have to deal with in their lives. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, US and other countries have vamped up their safety measures greatly. Before going into the boarding gates area the person must go through security. In order to go through security, it's necessary to have a ticket to a flight or some other verification. Then one must remove their shoes and empty their pockets to be put through a machine. When traveling into other countries the additional customs is added to security, making the process even longer to enter an airport.
