The Stanley Parable (Spoilers)

Reading an article on the internet I was reminded of the game Stanley Parable. The Stanley Parable is the type of game that I love to play. The game is about a normal employee named Stanley who works at a company. In this company he sits at his cubicle and is required press a button every time he is instructed to do so by his monitor and this is his monotonous life til now. When you start of the game you really don't know what to expect. Thankfully there is a narrator here to guide you or is he? The narrator acting as narrator will tell you everything that is happening and you could choose to follow or ignore his narrations. Through the interactions between the narrator and you the story progresses until you hit one of the endings. That's right ONE of the endings.
I love games with multiple endings they allow me to explore the game repeated as I try to unlock them all. These games always fascinated me because I like to see how the story could have played out. When Stanley Parable came out it was well received because of how fascinating the game was. The concept was fresh and the atmosphere was great. The days where action and horror games were what I looked for are gone. Now I enjoy playing open world games where you get to make decisions and see how the decision I make affect the future of my game play.
These types of games are becoming more popular, or more noticeable now. The breaking of the fourth wall in video game lightens the mood and allows me to relax again before resuming the game. I like this game device and hope that more games include moments like these. Well Stanley Parable and its endings are enough for now.
