Technology and Shoes

I remember technology when it started being incorporated in cars in the form of GPS. I was young then and really did not understand the significance of the increasing amount of technology in the car. Now the Nike self tying shoes made me realize how out lives are slowly integrating technology in every aspect. From paper to computer, maps to GPS, and locks to electronic locks. After a few more years maybe I will feel that self tying shoes are normal and shoelaces are just a fashion statement. But enough about that, this year the Nike self tying shoes will be coming out.
The self tying shoes combines years of research into a self adjusting shoe. The goal is to have a shoe that will micro-manage and adjust itself to the user's wants and needs. What I mean is that the laces will adjust itself and make sure the shoe is tied to the way you like it all the time. If you tie your shoelaces too tight or too loose it will adjust it to be just right. Also these adjustments are micromanaged so they will readjust when you are moving. To athletes this will prove to be a major help and relieves some of their worries so that they can focus.
I would definitely buy these shoes. I am not an athlete but I am one of the lazy people who will knot the shoe once so that it is tight but loose enough to slip on. Then I will leave that knot there until it eventually unties and I redo the process. The problem is that my shoes do not completely feel right because I have to make it a bit more loose, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make. Well until now at least. With the new self tying shoes I can be lazy and still feel comfortable. I am really looking to buy a pair and I hope this catches on.
