Virtual Reality and Medicine

Virtual reality can be used for many different things including medicine. In a study done by the University of Louisville it was seen that the VR could be used in situations where people are trying to overcome their fears. An example of this is people who are afraid of flying. The VR allows people to simulate a flying experience while being in a controlled environment. It can also be used in cases where people are claustrophobic. The one thing that is very convenient about using VR to overcome fears is that it can be done privately in a controlled environment that allows for the patient to use it one day at a time.
